Small natural pearls was fished by Sicilians in the east mediterranean coasts and used in Sicily also for jewellery since Middle Age. Here we have an amazing pair of antique gold earrings full of natural pearls. They are in the typical Poissard curved style. A lovely detailed antique hand-work of the first half of XIX century. From Sicily. 14K gold (touchstone tested). An old hallmark is on the hooks. In perfect condition.
