From Venice we have this pair of antique earrings in Amethyst well faceted around. Two big oval amethysts of top quality and down a fringe of briolet drops. All mounted in 14K Gold filigree. According to Mythology amethyst prevents drunkness and therefore.....you can drink wine at will. They are very nice, good colour and elegant to wear. From Venice, end of the 19th century. 14K gold (touchstone tested). The goldsmith hallmark is on te hooks. They are in perfect condition.
