Here we present a Top quality carving antique lava cameos earrings representing a classical head of Diana, goddess of the hunting and woods. She carries a quiver with arrows and in the hairs has a tiara. These lava earrings are a masterpiece of antique hand-carving full of minute details and a delightful female head in a live-posture movement. Undoubtedly the work of a mid 19th century artist. Despite the age they are perfectely preserved. From Naples, proved also from the old Neapolitan jeweler's guild hallmark on the hooks. A typical Lava jewellery that was a must souvenir among the Grand Tour tourist of the 19th century in Italy visiting Pompei, Erculaneum etc. In different colours, always in classical subjects sometimes they achived a masterpiece quality for the detailed hand-work engravings.
