End of XVIII century Spanish earrings. Emeralds, gold and silver with diamonds. Pendeloque style. Day and night: the top can be used alone. Perfect conditions. Silver on gold was used because at that time they believed that only a silver mounting could render the true beauty of a preciuos stone. Gold on the back was necessary to avoid the black stains on clothings or skin.
